History Makes Dramatic Comeback to Share Points with CLA
The Department of History Male football team made a dramatic comeback on Tuesday, 4th of November as it played a 2-2 draw with the Communication and Language Arts in the final match of the group stage of the Dean's cup competition.
The match started around 11 AM at the SU pitch with an opening whistle where CLA took the lead early after 2 consecutive goals from Josh in the first half. However, just few minutes before half time, History scored their fist goal.
A few minutes into second half, History equalizes bringing the score to 2:2 where it remained a draw till the final whistle.
Speaking after the match, Popoola Joshua, CLA's coach praised his team, "You all did great on the field. History came with their best and we proved we were capable of them. Well done, guys"
In a week, both teams will return again to the field where the best will eventually be crowned. The match is played by all departments in the Faculty of Arts for the Dean's Cup.
